Baesd on the problem of escalator’s Bearing capacitybalance, the best circumstance is to stand only a person, but considering somepeople can compare anxious, so for now the escalator can stand two people sideby side, one people stand on the escalator step, and aonther can waking on the escalator step.
The escalator will be be easy to damage, and it will reduced
the using life if lots of people Standing side by side on the escalator step,
and it’s not safe.

specification for the manufacture and installation of escalators and moving
sidewalks
5.3.2.1 general rule
Nominal width of escalators and moving walkways z1 must more than 0.58meter，and less than 1.10meter。For automatic sidewalks with a tilt Angle of no more than 6 degrees，the width can be 1.65meter。
